Frequently asked questions
You might be wondering...
What ages do you work with?
I work with teens (ages 12+) and adult clients across their lifespan.
Do you offer teletherapy?
Yes! I offer Telehealth sessions throughout California. All you need is a private space without interruptions and a reliable internet connection.
Do you take insurance?
I don't accept insurance directly, but I can provide super bills for out-of-network reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider about your coverage.
Do I even need therapy?
Everyone has a different reason to seek therapy. Things might look “fine” on the outside, but still feel off internally. Therapy is a place to understand what’s beneath the surface and why certain patterns keep showing up.
Does therapy work?
Therapy can be meaningful when there’s a good fit between you and the therapist, and when you're open and curious to explore. It’s not about quick fixes, but about developing awareness, insight, and new ways of relating to yourself and others.
How long does therapy take?
There’s no set timeline. Some people come for a shorter period (maybe a few months) around a specific issue, while others choose longer-term work (over many years). We move at a pace that feels right for you and your needs.
With couples, will the therapist take sides?
The therapist's role is to support the relationship, not choose a side. Each partner’s experience is respected as we work toward greater understanding and connection with in the relationship.
Do couples need therapy if things aren’t “that bad”?
Couples (or anyone for that matter) do not have to be in crisis to gain a deeper understanding of themselves or others. Therapy can help you better understand each other, improve communication, and shift patterns before they become more entrenched.
Does my teen need therapy?
Even teens can benefit from a dedicated space to express themselves. Therapy can support them in navigating identity, emotions, relationships, and the pressures they uniquely face.
Will my teen actually talk?
Not always right away, and that’s okay. The process is paced with care to build trust and allow them to open up in a way that feels safe and natural.
What is therapy actually like?
Therapy is a conversation, but not just talking. With support from a trained therapist, it's a space to slow down, reflect, and begin to understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns.
How long are therapy sessions?
Standard sessions are 50 minutes. Extended 75-minute sessions are also available for those who prefer more time.
