Privacy policy
This website collects as little as it can. Here is what it does collect, why, and what happens to it.
The contact form
When you send a message through the form, what you type (your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message) is sent as an email to connect@erincervelli.com. It is not stored on the website or in any database. From then on it lives in Erin's mailbox like any other email, and she uses it only to reply to you.
Please don't include sensitive clinical details in the form. A sentence or two about what brings you here is plenty, and everything else can wait for a conversation.
Telling people from spam
The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell real people from automated spam. It runs quietly in the background and doesn't ask you to solve a puzzle. To do this it looks at signals from your browser and may set a cookie for that purpose. Turnstile is provided by Cloudflare and is covered by the Cloudflare Turnstile privacy policy.
Hosting and the video
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles technical information such as your IP address in order to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks, and keeps short-lived logs for that purpose. The video on the About page is streamed by Cloudflare as well.
Analytics
The site uses Heap to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited and how people move through them. That helps make the site clearer. It is not used to identify you or to advertise to you, and most browser privacy settings and ad blockers will stop it running.
Cookies
This site doesn't set cookies of its own. The spam check, the video player, and the analytics described above may set cookies to do their jobs.
Links to other sites
Pages here link to other organisations, such as crisis lines and professional bodies. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy doesn't cover.
If you become a client
Everything about your care is handled under Erin's practice policies and California law, entirely separately from this website. The consent form and policy agreement you sign at the start cover that, and you can read them on the Before You Begin page.
